My Future in Baking

So the other day was my mother's birthday. As a request, I made her a cake. Sounds simple enough. So after doing my Latin, I went in the kitchen, got my supplies together, and began to bake a cake.

In my head, this is what it looked like:

I know I'll improve in due time, but really? It was one of the most simplest recipes ever. The only problem was getting the cake out of the pan (obviously). I know one thing is certain: that definitely did not stop us from eating it. It still tasted great!!! (my mom described it as "scrumdiddlyumptious")  That just comes to show you not to "judge a book by its cover". :-p
